La madrugada del domingo 10 de febrero se celebra en Los Ángeles la 61ª edición de los Grammys, esos premios de la industria musical estadounidense que todo el mundo critica por su falta de coherencia artística pero que nadie quiere perderse. Más allá del gusto de cada uno, toda gala los Premios Grammy es un despliegue brutal en cuanto a puestas en escena y a vestuario.
Alicia Keys debuta como presentadora. Quizá no tiene mucha experiencia como maestra de ceremonias, pero sí en lo que todo lo que huele a Grammys: en su casa tiene nada menos que 15 estatuillas, así que no le viene de nuevas. Mientras tenga un piano cerca, todo puede ir de maravilla.
El número de apertura corre a cargo de Camila Cabello, icono de los dreamersdesde la gala del año pasado. Junto a ella pisarán el escenario latinos tan potentes como J Balvin, Young Thug, Ricky Martin y Arturo Sandoval.
Dolly Parton se dará un baño de amor cantando un medley de sus canciones más conocidas junto a Katy Perry, Kacey Musgraves, Maren Morris y Little Big Town. El otro será in memoriam a Aretha Franklin, en las voces de Yolanda Adams, Fantasia y Andra Day.
El dueto más esperado es el de Dua Lipa y St. Vincent. También veremos un mix aparentemente imposible entre Red Hot Chili Peppers y Post Malone.
La lista de actuaciones se completa con Lady Gaga, Diana Ross, Mark Ronson, Cardi B, Brandi Carlile, Dan + Shay, H.E.R., Shawn Mendes, Janelle Monáe, Travis Scott, Chloe x Hall.
La novedad: hay mucha expectación por ver al grupo de K-pop llamado BTS. Adolescentes coreanos con coreografías milimétricas que rozan el anime y millones de fans con tendencia al desmayo por todo el mundo.
Esta edición No. 61 tendrá al hip-hop como el género con mayores posibilidades de llevarse un Premio Grammy, teniendo como favoritos a los raperos Kendrick Lamar y Drake con ocho y siete nominaciones, respectivamente.
